Chris Thorpe is a leadingindependent lawyer in the upstream oil and gas industry, and an established lecturer and author.
Chris has an MA and LLB in law from Magdalene College, Cambridge and trained as a barrister in London. Chris worked for eight years as an in-house lawyer for BP and Marathon.

in-house. His experience in jurisdictions include: Angola, Egypt, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sudan, Syria, UAE, UK, US, Yemen.
Dr Peter RA Wells BSc. PhD.
Peter Wells is an internationally respected and trusted figure in the international oil industry in the Middle East, former Soviet Union, West Africa and Europe - and has more than 30 years experience in the sector.
He brings experience and insight to developing and implementing strategies for effective business development and negotiations in the Caspian and Middle East regions.
Peter has a BSc and PhD in Geology from the University of Exeter in the UK, and held a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford in the UK. Since 2005, he has been a consultant to Toyota, developing a unique model of world oil supply and price forecasting.
Peter Wells speaks regularly at international conferences on Iran, Iraq, the Middle East and strategic oil supply issues.
