Courses are starting to get booked and places are becoming limited. We have spaces for our London event in May (see details) but please register soon.

We will be exhibiting at the 5th Annual Global Education and Training event in Exploration & Production 23rd - 25th March 2009. The event is organised by Getenergy (London) and we can be found on Stand A8

This is the only Education & Training Exhibition that we know of for placing Training Providers alongside the Oil Companies that have Training Requirements.

If you are attending the event then please take the time to come and introduce yourself to us we will be pleased to meet and have a chat.

Our Calendar Page now has details of our schedule of courses for 2009. Our first course on the Fundamentals of Upstream Petroleum Agreements is in March with Aberdeen being the venue.

CHINESE VERSION OF OUR SITE

During the early part of 2009 we will be launching a Chinese Language version of our web site at www.cpthorpe.cn This is an important step forward for CP Thorpe and will coincide with several visits to China where Chris will be delivering his conferences to a mixed Chinese and English speaking audience from both the oil and gas industry as well as general business entrepreneurs.

We offer specialist oil & gas training conferences and in-house seminars. Chris Thorpe draws on over 25 years legal work within the oil industry. His career highlights include being the lead lawyer and negotiator for the Unitisation agreement on the BUZZARD FIELD for Encana. The Buzzard oil field is the largest oil field discovered in the North Sea in the past decade. Using his extensive knowledge of drafting and negotiating upstream contracts and agreements Chris has developed several lecture courses to help people in the industry learn what the world of contracts and agreements consist of. The courses are delivered in depth but with some humour and utilise real deals and real situations.

The current course for 2009 is Fundamentals of Upstream Petroleum Agreements and is available for in-house presentation or at exclusive public venues for groups of individuals. Watch out for news of our new conferences during 2009 focusing on the Legal Principles of Upstream Petroleum Agreements as well as courses on both Negotiating and Drafting contracts.
